Emirates and Trip.com are strengthening their long-standing partnership to explore new growth opportunities and target new customer segments in global markets.
The agreement was formalized at ITB Berlin by Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales & Country Management for Emirates, and CT Ooi, Vice President of Flights Business at Trip.com Group.
Expanding Reach Through Strategic Collaboration
Under the new agreement, Emirates and Trip.com will work together to expand Trip.com’s global presence by forming strategic partnerships and launching targeted promotional campaigns. The focus will be on key markets in Asia and Europe, where both companies see significant growth potential.
The partnership aims to increase customer engagement by integrating Emirates’ flight services with Trip.com’s growing portfolio of hotel and travel offerings. It also includes exclusive promotions designed for families and holiday travelers.
Enhancing Customer Experience and Loyalty
Emirates and Trip.com will coordinate joint campaigns to drive customer growth in global markets and explore value-added services for their loyalty programmes: Trip.com Rewards and Emirates Skywards.
The collaboration will also offer cross-promotional opportunities targeting specific customer segments, including:
- Students and youth – Tailored flight and travel packages.
- Cruise travelers – Exclusive deals on flights and transfers.
- Premium customers – Emirates’ Chauffeur Drive service will be available through the Trip.com platform to enhance the travel experience for high-value customers.
Building on Previous Success
Emirates first partnered with Trip.com in 2020 to expand its reach in China and Asia. This initial partnership included joint marketing efforts to increase sales through Trip.com’s platforms and deliver a personalized booking experience for customers.
The latest expansion comes as Emirates strengthens its footprint across Asia with:
- Daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen, China.
- Four weekly flights to Danang, Vietnam.
- Three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Emirates now serves 24 destinations across East Asia, making it the largest network for any non-Asian carrier in the region.
Leadership Insights
Sultan stated:
“The next phase not only strengthens our position to provide more of our products to Trip.com’s customer base, but also unlocks traveller demand for air and hotel packages. It enables us to integrate offers across both of our loyalty programmes and tap into a variety of consumer segments with specialised promotions. We look forward to empowering Trip.com customers with options to customise their travel with ease on Emirates.”
Ooi added:
“By combining Emirates’ world-class network with Trip.com’s innovative travel ecosystem, we are creating more opportunities for travellers to access exclusive flight and hotel packages, tailored promotions, and enhanced loyalty rewards.”
The strengthened partnership between Emirates and Trip.com is set to redefine the travel experience, offering greater convenience and value to travelers worldwide.
